Electrical Control Panels in the UAE

Confido provides electrical control panel engineering and integration for building, industrial and infrastructure control applications across the UAE.

Our scope can include control-panel design, component selection, PLC and VFD integration, MCC and starter applications, interface engineering, testing and commissioning support.

Control panel engineering

Control hardware coordinated with the wider system.

Panel engineering brings component selection, schematics, I/O, terminals, field interfaces and control requirements into one documented architecture. The applicable engineering and integration scope is defined by the project; this page does not imply that every panel is manufactured in-house.

  1. 01

    Panel architecture

Control functions, equipment interfaces, component arrangements and maintainability requirements are coordinated within the overall system architecture.

  2. 02

    Schematics & I/O

Control schematics, I/O requirements, terminals and field connections are organized around the approved control scope.

  3. 03

    Interface engineering

PLC, VFD, motor-control, building-system and package-equipment interfaces are defined against supported signals and communications.

  4. 04

    Documentation

Panel and interface documentation is developed to support wiring, testing, commissioning and future maintenance.

PLC control panels

PLC, I/O and field interfaces engineered as one control environment.

PLC control panels can coordinate controllers, I/O modules, supported communications, operator interfaces and field-device connections. Testing and commissioning verify the panel interfaces against the approved logic and operating requirements.

PLC & SCADA integration
  • PLC integration
  • I/O modules
  • Communication interfaces
  • Operator interfaces where applicable
  • Field-device connections
  • Testing
  • Commissioning

VFD control panels

Drive control integrated with motors and supervisory systems.

VFD panel engineering can coordinate motor-control interfaces, local and remote operation, supported bypass arrangements, status and fault signals, and available BMS or PLC communications. The final arrangement depends on equipment, operating intent and project requirements.

VFD Systems
  • VFD integration
  • Motor-control interfaces
  • Bypass arrangements where applicable
  • Local / remote control
  • Status and fault signals
  • BMS / PLC interfaces
  • Supported communications

MCC & starter panels

Motor-control functions arranged around safe operating logic.

MCC and starter applications can include contactor-based control, overload-protection interfaces, control circuits, interlocks, local and remote operation, and monitoring signals. Requirements are coordinated with the motor, driven equipment and wider control system.

MCC & Starter Panels
  • Motor starters
  • Contactor-based control
  • Overload-protection interfaces
  • Control circuits
  • Interlocks
  • Local / remote operation
  • Monitoring interfaces

Building & industrial applications

Panels developed around equipment, interfaces and control intent.

Control panels can support building automation and industrial applications when their architecture, components and interfaces are aligned with the installed equipment and the defined system scope.

Building automation panels

HVAC equipment, AHUs, FAHUs, pumps, plant interfaces, BMS controllers, sensors, actuators and VFD interfaces can be coordinated within the defined building-control scope.

BMS & Building Automation

Industrial automation panels

PLC systems, process and package equipment, motors, utility systems, communication gateways and HMI or SCADA interfaces can be integrated around the application.

Industrial Automation

Testing & commissioning

Verification from panel wiring to site operation.

Testing and commissioning support can include visual and wiring checks, I/O verification, control-function and interlock testing, communication checks and site integration. The applicable scope follows project responsibilities and equipment readiness.

  • Visual checks
  • Wiring verification
  • I/O checks
  • Control-function checks
  • Interlock testing
  • Communication testing
  • Site integration
  • Commissioning support

Retrofit & panel modification

Existing panels assessed before modifications are defined.

Retrofit work may include component replacement, controller upgrades, VFD integration, interface or wiring modifications, staged implementation and recommissioning. Existing condition, compatibility, available documentation and operating constraints determine what can be retained or changed.

BMS Upgrade & Retrofit
  • Existing panel assessment
  • Component replacement
  • Controller upgrades
  • VFD integration
  • Interface modification
  • Wiring modifications where appropriate
  • Staged upgrades
  • Recommissioning
